The best time to apply for a Student and Child Student visa is six months before your course start date. Note that you cannot apply more than 3 months before the course start date as stated on your CAS.

CAS stands for Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies. This is an electronic letter issued by the university in regards to your application for a student visa. The letter includes information such as your personal details, course of study, and a unique CAS number.

Each visa application has a unique CAS number; therefore, you cannot use a CAS number twice. After the CAS numbers are issued, they are valid for six months. If your visa application is refused, you should contact the proper authorities for further instructions.

The first step after receiving your offer from your chosen institution is to accept it. The next step is that you have to meet all the conditions of your offer. Then, your CAS will be issued.

BRP stands for the biometric residence permit. Your BRP will include information such as your name, your fingerprints, your immigration status, date and place of birth.

If you have made your visa application from inside the UK, your BRP will be sent to you. If you applied from outside the UK, you should collect your BRP once you are in the UK. Note that you should have your passport or travel document with your vignette sticker with you.

If your dependants who are included in your student visa application want to collect their BRPs from the University, should have their passport with them. You should make an appointment to collect your BRP and your dependants can come with you. Note that each dependant must have their passport with them.

Yes. You'll need to prove that you have enough money to pay for your courses and other expenses that vary based on your circumstances and the city you decide to live in.

Students who want to study Taught or research masters should contact their institution find out the type your course. After confirming this matter with their Higher Education Institution (HEI), students will know whether they need an ATAS certificate or not.

Students from certain countries need to take a TB test. Also, if you are coming to the UK for more than 6 months, you will need to take this test. If your test results show that you don't have TB, you will receive a certificate which is valid for 6 months from the date of your x-ray. Note that you should include this certificate with your visa application.

You may be able to extend your student visa if you need to stay longer and continue your course or start a new course. This includes if you currently have a Tier 4 (General) student visa. There are other requirements in order to extend your visa. Please contact us for more details.

You should make an application for an extension on your visa before its expiry date. If your visa gets expired while you're in the UK, you will be categorised as an ‘overstayer’. There are specific regulations regarding working while studying in the UK. Some of these rules are set by universities, and others depend on the type of your visa.

If you wish to study an English language course in the UK, you can apply for a short-term study visa. You are allowed to stay in the UK for the duration of your course. However, note that this visa is for English language courses lasting longer than six months and up to 11 months.

You can apply for a Child Student visa if you’re between four and seventeen years old, and you wish to study at an independent school in the UK. Requirements:
• Students should have an unconditional offer of a place on a course at an independent school
• You should provide proof that you have enough funds to supports your tuition fees and other expenses
